Welcome Class of 2025!

Big smiles and the buzz of lively conversation created an exciting atmosphere at the School today, as David Goodhew and class tutors welcomed the new Year 7 intake to Latymer Upper School.

Latymer is truly co-ed – as with other years, half of the new intake are girls and half are boys. Each was handed a new school tie or badge, which was worn with great pride! Pupils met with their tutors and tutor groups of around 16 children and began to make friendships which may well last a life-time.

David Goodhew encouraged the new Latymerians to savour the beginning of their journey through the School and to make the most of every opportunity they were given: joining clubs and societies, drama productions, music groups, sports teams – a good education is about so much more than passing exams! He emphasised the importance of hard work and persistence, as well as the value of kindness.

Autumn 2018 also marks the start of the second year of Latymer’s Inspiring Minds campaign which aims to raise funds to enable bright children to come to Latymer regardless of their financial situation. Already great progress has been made, evident in the new Year 7 intake of which 1 in 5 children is supported by a means-tested bursary, taking the total to 175 pupils across the School.

We wish our Class of 2025 happiness and fulfilment during their time at Latymer Upper School.
