We were at The Linford Christie Stadium, in glorious sunshine, for this year’s Sports Day. Lower School students (Years 7 & 8) competed in the morning with Middle School (Years 9 & 10) enjoying their events in the afternoon.
For the first time since 2019 parents were able to join us for the day and it was wonderful to see them all cheering the children on. Our thanks to the Parents’ Gild volunteers for their amazing stall selling delicious treats to raise money for the Trips & Activities Fund.
The event was a wonderful mixture of challenge, competition, co-operation and fun! As well as traditional sprint races and relays there were tugs-of-war between form groups to appeal to the competitive spirit. There was also long jump, high jump, javelin and shot putt, ensuring that every student could participate and enjoy the day.
Congratulations to our winning forms who were crowned 2022 Year Group Champions. In Lower School 7NA and 7MHC were joint winners of the Year 7 cup and 8REW won in their Year group.
