Congratulations to our Year 7 and 8 swimmers – Alexandra, Alice, Angelina, Angus, Anna, Felix, India, Isabella, Louise, Martina, Mila, Nicholas, Olivia, Owen, Raphie, Sofiya and Ziggy – who won the London Schools Swimming League North of the River Final gala.
Leading up to the final, 14 schools had taken part in heats over the Autumn and Spring terms. The top six schools from those events then qualified to compete in the North of the River final gala which took place at Latymer Upper School’s Sports Centre.
Latymer won the gala with 295 points; North London Collegiate School (NLCS) were second with 281 point with Lady Eleanor Holles (LEH) third on 266. City of London Girls’ School came fourth, St Paul’s Girls’ School fifth and Godolphin and Latymer in sixth place.
“It was a very good gala, with a high standard of swimming and many close and exciting races,” said Will Rowley, Latymer’s Swimming Coach. “The squad swam well and I’m looking forward to seeing them progress.”
The top three Schools – Latymer Upper, NLCS and LEH – will now compete in the London Schools’ Swimming League Grand Final against the top three South of the River schools in the summer term.
