Latymer Upper Student Represents the UK in International Biology Olympiad

Our talented Latymer Upper School student Kim has been selected to represent the UK to compete in the International Biology Olympiad. He will be flying out to Astana, Kazakhstan in July for the event which is now in it’s 35th year.

Kim was in the top sixteen of the 15000 students who sat the Biology Olympiad in March.

After a selection weekend at Warwick University, he was asked to join the team and will be challenged by high level exams and practical tasks. They will compete with pre-university students from over 80 countries in: Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Bioinformatics, Animal anatomy and physiology, and written exams.

This is only the second time in Latymer history that a student has been invited to attend, with the first being 2023.

Congratulations to Kim for this wonderful achievement.
