On Thursday 9 November we were delighted to welcome to our second Future Skills debate and networking event our distinguished panellists: Chair, Jessica Cecil, Controller, BBC Make it Digital; Emma Cerrone, Co-Founder, Partner & Director of Freeformers; Nick Moody, Head of Premier League Productions; Sim Scavazza, Global Head of Retail, EF Education First; and Ernesto Schmitt, Technology and Media entrepreneur.
This year the panel discussed how technology is affecting the creative industries – with particular reference to how the pace of change will influence careers – and how we can best prepare our students for the future workplace. The debate was lively with some differing perspectives on how technology, AI and robotics will impact the business world. The panellists were then put on the spot with some probing questions from our students.
With the more formal aspect of the evening concluded, students, parents and speakers gathered in the Dining Room for networking, advice and discussions over refreshments.
We are very grateful to the panellists who so generously gave up their time for what was an extremely enjoyable and informative evening.
