From sailing across the Solent to hiking in the Highlands, from enjoying the Cornish coast to stepping back into history at the Titanic museum, sampling french cuisine in Paris, to riding through Spain, Activities Week 2022 had it all!
In Gredos, Spain Y9&10 students enjoy the Spanish mountains, rivers and forests!
On our two French trips Y8s & 9s had to paddle through the high tide to reach the stunning Mont Saint-Michel. Meanwhile in Paris, Y9 & 10 students used local market produce to create a stunning lunch platter!
Across the channel, Y8s & 9s are making themselves at home in Jersey, enjoying picturesque beaches and historic castles. Students on our two Isle of Wight trips are at one with the ocean, and they’re loving their week of sailing in the Solent and at UKSA in the isle of Wight.
In County Mayo, Y7&8 students have been enjoying fabulous surfing & ziplining, meanwhile, in Ballycastle Northern Ireland, pupils are braving cold sea temperatures to experience the stunning coastline
While many of the trips were abroad, students proved that you don’t have to leave the UK to enjoy ocean views! Y10s & 12s are enjoying coasteering and surfing in Mawgan Porth, Cornwall. Further down the Cornish coast, Y7s & 8s had an afternoon on St. Ives beach
From Exmoor and Dartmoor to the Peak District and Snowdonia, students from across the school are exploring National Parks all around the UK.
Year 7 & 8 pupils navigated an obstacle course at Skern Lodge in North Devon, whilst, across the Bristol Channel in Pembrokeshire, Y12s enjoyed a ‘golden hour’ boat ride along the stunning Welsh coastline
They learnt lots of new skills. From creative writing in a country house near Dulverton to bushcraft skills in Sussex and students on our ‘Gastronomic London’ trip expanded their culinary capabilities!
Whilst some of our students spent the week doing their Gold Duke of Edinburgh Awards expedition in the Lake District others went Walking with the Romans.
Students staying in London enjoyed watersports, paintballing, go-karting, crafts and graffiti, sightseeing around London and Theatre trips.
