Mike Nicholson, Deputy Head of Admissions at University of Cambridge, has been the keynote speaker at Latymer’s Higher Education Launch for several years. His informative and humorous talk was full of fascinating insights into university life and study.
For students who are planning an application for Medicine, Latymerian and co-founder of Medic Portal, Dr Ricardo Tavares, MA (Oxon) MBBS PgCert FHEA, provided an overview of the medical application process including insights into work experience, preparation for UCAT/BMAT and medical interviews
Having graduated last summer, alumna, Fila Marucha-Hodge (Class of 2022) is now on a Degree Apprenticeship at the Dyson Institute of Engineering and Technology. She joined Victor Bamigboy from Unifrog for a talk that outlined the opportunities associated with taking the degree apprenticeship route and Fila answered questions about what it’s like to embark on an Engineering degree apprenticeship.
Mr Lewis, Latymer’s Head of International University Advising, walked students and parents through the application process and the support Latymer provides for those considering an international university application, whilst Mr Holmes, Director of University Applications focused on applications to UK universities. Mr Paul, Oxbridge coordinator, was joined by two alumni who are currently studying at Oxford and Cambridge who shared their experiences and advice.
