Latymerians bring Vivienne Franzmann’s play ‘The IT’ to life

Congratulations to our students from Years 9,10 and 11 for their triumphant production of Vivienne Franzmann’s play ‘The IT‘.

The talented Middle School ensemble cast really brought the poignant play to life. This theatrical work explores what it means to be a teenager living in our age of information; of constant notifications, news alerts, climate-change anxiety and toxic social media platforms.

Written specifically for young people, the play formed part of the 2021 National Theatre Connections Festivals and was named Best Play for Young Audiences at the Writers’ Guild of Great Britain Awards 2023.

An exciting production, it has  given our students the opportunity to display their talent both on stage and behind the scenes.
