On Saturday, the Parents’ Gilds for Latymer Upper and Prep Schools hosted the annual Christmas Fair.
Amongst the highlights was a rodeo bull in the piazza and classrooms full of games for the children to enjoy. The ever popular Tree of Surprises was back in the Main Hall, and there were over 50 stalls selling great Christmas gifts including toys, gourmet foods, candles and soaps, Christmas table linen, jewellery, stationery, scrumptious fudge and sweets.
Our students also ran a range of inventive and fun stalls showcasing their talents and our Eco Committee were selling second hand books donated through their book drive earlier in the term.
Our thanks to the volunteers for all their hard work putting on such an incredible event for our community this year, which raised more than £30,000 for our Trips and Activities Fund. It is a fundamental part of Latymer’s policy of inclusion that pupils should not be deprived of the opportunity to take part in trips and events purely on financial grounds and the Trips & Activities Fund provides grants to pupils who would otherwise be unable to participate.
